The Warehouse Assistant Manager supports end-to-end warehouse operations, including inventory accuracy, stock rotation (FIFO), team supervision, and timely distribution to all CPG stores. The role ensures food safety compliance, supports ERP and barcode/RFID system etc warehouse tools implementation, and drives process improvements. Working closely with the Purchasing team and Operations, this position plays a key role in streamlining logistics, enhancing operational efficiency, and coordinating with other departments to support CPG’s multi-brand F&B supply chain and overall business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess current stock with the storekeeper, evaluate stores consumption demand, prepare the replenishment list, and submit for order placement.
- Coordinate the receipt of goods (containers from Taiwan).
- Prepare municipality inspection in DIP warehouse when needed.
- · Prioritize workload & process information to meet deadlines while maintaining accurate files.
- Supervise daily warehouse operations, optimize workflow, and ensure efficient inventory flow and logistics management.
- Maintain optimal inventory levels and ensure accurate stock counts.
- Conduct monthly inventory counting and regularly audits to verify stock accuracy and minimize discrepancies.
- · Implement and optimize warehouse management systems (WMS, ERP, barcode scanning, automation etc tools) to enhance operational efficiency.
- · Maintaining a clean & well-organized Warehouse Distribution Centre, conducting daily inspection checks of areas.
- · Develop SOP for Inbound & Outbound etc operations.
- · Establish and maintain internal work processes and policies.
- · Formulate and analyse KPIs, such as order fulfilment rates and inventory turnover, to identify improvement areas and enhance performance.
- · Implement corrective actions as necessary to address operational inefficiencies or compliance issues, ensuring timely resolution and fostering continuous improvement in warehouse operations.
- · Provide inbound and outbound report on a daily, monthly, and yearly basis.
- · Update daily and monthly inventory reports,
- · FIFO, safe stock, and expiry date reports.
- · Report on obsolete and scrap items, ensuring proper disposal.
- · Other reports as per request.
- · Ensure a safe and healthy work environment by establishing and enforcing standard procedures in compliance with legal requirements.
- · Monitor safety compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- · Maintain fire safety measures and ensure regular inspections.
- · Assess and maintain the health and safety of all warehouse staff.
- Ensure proper placement and visibility of safety labels and signage throughout the warehouse.
- · Lead the hiring, training, and management of warehouse staff, foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- · Inform/guide Employees on company policies & procedures.
- · Appraise Employees & monitor performance against set goals. Identify development needs and potential in order to assign appropriate job functions to develop them.
- · Address team concerns, resolve staff issues, and ensure clear role distribution.
