Cranleigh Abu Dhabi is seeking a motivated and hardworking individual to join our Admissions team as an Receptionist Attendance (UAE National Role). This is an exciting opportunity for someone with prior experience in a school environment, looking to further develop their career in admissions.
We are looking for someone proactive, adaptable, and eager to contribute to the smooth running of our admissions processes. The ideal candidate will have experience working in an educational setting and be ready to take on responsibilities related to student enrolment, data management, and customer service. You will work closely with experienced professionals across the school, gaining hands-on experience in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
To act as the first point of contact for parents, visitors, and staff regarding student attendance and front-of-house operations. This role ensures the accurate recording and reporting of student attendance across the school while supporting the wider admin team with daily reception duties and general coordination tasks.
Main Duties
- Serve as the primary point of contact for attendance queries from parents, staff, and leadership.
- Monitor, record, and update student daily attendance across relevant systems (iSAMS/Engage).
- Follow up on unexplained absences and report trends to relevant SLT and Heads of Year.
- Maintain punctuality logs and issue follow-up letters to parents where needed.
- Coordinate late arrivals and early pick-ups with appropriate sign-in/out systems.
- Prepare and distribute daily absence reports to designated departments.
- Work with ADEK-compliance systems to ensure regulatory requirements are met.
- Manage student attendance records for events, trips, and exam sessions.
- Greet and direct all visitors, providing a warm and professional welcome at reception.
- Respond to phone and email enquiries efficiently and in line with school protocol.
- Support safeguarding practices by managing the sign-in system and issuing visitor badges.
- Assist the wider Admin Team with communications, filing, printing, and event preparation.
- Attend all admin and pastoral team meetings as required.
Minimum Qualifications
- “O” Levels/NVQ/High School Diploma or equivalent (certificate must be attested)
Minimum Experience
- 1–2 years in a school or customer service environment (preferred)
Job Specific Knowledge & Skills
- Fluent in English (spoken and written); Arabic is advantageous
- Experience using school information systems (iSAMS/Engage/SIMS preferred)
- Strong interpersonal and organisational skills
- Professional telephone manner
- Confident handling confidential data
- Calm under pressure and able to multitask
- Excellent attention to detail
