Job Summary:
The Diagnostic Technician is responsible for identifying and diagnosing issues in vehicles using advanced diagnostic tools and procedures. This role involves working closely with service advisors and repair technicians to ensure accurate, timely repairs. The ideal candidate has strong problem-solving skills, in-depth mechanical and electrical knowledge, and proficiency with computerized diagnostic equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform detailed diagnostics on vehicles using scan tools, oscilloscopes, and other equipment.
- Interpret trouble codes and customer-reported symptoms to pinpoint malfunctions.
- Conduct road tests to verify diagnoses or confirm repairs.
- Work with service advisors to explain diagnostic findings and recommend necessary repairs.
- Ensure accurate documentation of all diagnostic procedures and results.
- Assist and support other technicians with complex diagnostics and repairs.
- Stay updated on manufacturer service bulletins and technical training.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certifications (preferred)
- Formal technical training or equivalent work experience
- Minimum 2–4 years of experience in automotive diagnostics or repair
- Proficient in using OBD-II scanners, multimeters, and factory diagnostic software
- Strong understanding of automotive electrical systems and drivability concerns
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with hybrid/electric vehicle diagnostics
- Familiarity with OEM diagnostic platforms (e.g., VAG group, Range Rover, Maserati, Ferrari, Bentley, Mercedes, BMW, Infinity, Lexus)
- Strong computer skills for entering service records and looking up repair procedures

Pay: AED4,000.00 - AED7,000.00 per month
