Job Summary:
Rozan Glass & Aluminium LLC is looking for a skilled AutoCAD Draftsman / Estimator with at least 5 years of hands-on experience in the aluminium and glass industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing detailed drawings and precise cost estimates for glass and aluminium works, including curtain walls, doors, partitions, windows, and cladding systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Drafting:
- Prepare detailed AutoCAD drawings for aluminium and glass systems as per project requirements.
- Develop shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and cutting lists.
- Interpret architectural and structural drawings and convert them into aluminium and glass details.
- Coordinate with project engineers and site teams to ensure drawing accuracy.
- Modify drawings based on client or consultant feedback and site conditions.
Estimation:
- Prepare accurate BOQs (Bill of Quantities) based on drawings and specifications.
- Estimate material quantities, labour, and fabrication costs.
- Prepare quotations and project costing for tenders and inquiries.
- Coordinate with suppliers for material pricing and lead times.
- Support the sales and project teams with technical inputs and pricing breakdowns.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in AutoCAD drafting and estimation within the aluminium & glass industry.
- Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Excel (knowledge of other software like Revit or Logikal is a plus).
- Strong knowledge of aluminium systems (e.g., Gulf Extrusions, Technal, Schüco, etc.).
- Excellent understanding of fabrication and installation methods.
- High attention to detail and ability to work under deadlines.
Education:
- Diploma or Degree in Civil / Mechanical / Architectural Engineering or related technical qualification.
Language:
- Proficiency in English (spoken and written).
- Hindi/Urdu knowledge is a plus.
