We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Boring Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating horizontal or vertical boring machines to perform precision machining operations on metal workpieces. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, the ability to read technical drawings, and a commitment to safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate boring machines (manual or CNC) according to production specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and job orders to determine machine settings and workpiece specifications.
- Select and install appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and machine attachments.
- Monitor machine operations and make adjustments to maintain desired quality and tolerances.
- Inspect finished parts using micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring tools.
- Perform routine maintenance on machines and report any malfunctions.
- Ensure a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Collaborate with quality control and engineering teams to improve machining processes.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED; technical training is a plus.
- Minimum 2 years of experience operating boring mills (manual or CNC).
- Strong understanding of machine shop math and GD&T.
- Proficient in the use of measuring tools and inspection equipment.
- Ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: AED4,000.00 - AED5,000.00 per month
