Job Purpose:
The Business Development Manager is responsible for identifying growth opportunities, increasing revenue, and elevating the salon and spa brand presence. This role focuses on client acquisition, brand positioning, strategic partnerships, and marketing initiatives to ensure long-term business sustainability and competitive advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Revenue Growth, Business Growth & Client Acquisition
- Inrease overall brand awareness through relationships with PR, corperate clients, cross brand collaborations, partnerships
- Organise brand pop ups and events within targeted client demographics
- Develop and execute business strategies to increase service bookings, client count and occupancy rate
- Generate new business by identifying and targeting new client groups
- Work closely with branch managers and operations to asses areas for growth within the business
2. Client Retention & Experience
- Analyze client behavior, visit frequency, and spend patterns to develop loyalty and retention programs.
- Recommend enhancements to the service menu based on market trends and client feedback.
- Ensure a personalized experience approach is implemented across touchpoints to increase lifetime client value.
3. Strategic Partnerships & Collaborations
- Initiate partnerships with local and luxury lifestyle brands, influencers, and wellness platforms to boost visibility.
- Organize co-branded events, pop-ups, and activations to drive footfall and generate leads.
4. Marketing & Brand Awareness
- Work with the marketing team to create and execute promotional campaigns, seasonal offers, and social media activations.
- Support digital marketing with lead generation strategies including email marketing, paid ads, and local SEO.
- Monitor and maintain brand consistency across all platforms and physical spaces.
5. Market Research & Innovation
- Conduct competitor analysis to identify pricing trends, new services, and promotional tactics.
- Stay ahead of industry innovations and suggest potential new services or products for introduction.
- Regularly present findings and actionable insights to leadership.
6. Brand Development
- Define brand positioning strategies to elevate the salon and spa as a premium destination in the market.
- Oversee brand identity implementation across marketing materials, uniforms, signage, and customer communications.
- Plan and execute PR initiatives, influencer collaborations, and media features to strengthen brand equity.
7. Reporting & Performance Tracking
- Set and monitor KPIs such as revenue growth, client acquisition rate, retention metrics, and campaign ROI.
- Provide monthly performance reports with insights and recommendations for improvement.
- Coordinate with operations and finance to align business development efforts with budgeted goals.

Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in business development or marketing, preferably in the beauty, wellness, or hospitality industry
- Strong understanding of brand strategy, digital marketing, and client engagement
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Data-driven mindset with the ability to interpret performance metrics
- Creative thinker with a proactive approach to growth
