Cake Artist
Understands Customers' special design order specifications, provides suitable recommendations on design ideas/patterns, and fulfils orders on time to high levels of quality, finishing and accuracy.
Responsibilities
● Design and decorate cakes in different styles/patterns in line with latest trends and Customers’ expectations, and provide recommendations on patterns, designs and structure.
● Fulfil Customer requests and special orders on time with precision, attention to detail and perfection.
● Stay up-to-date on latest styles, techniques, and trends in cake design and decoration.
● Maintain a high standard of workstation hygiene at all times.
● Maintain minimum quantity levels of cake decoration ingredients, colours and accessories and adhere to prescribed shelf life.
● Assist Pastry Chef with pastry decorations and cake fillings when required.
● Abide by set health and safety standards.
● Apply the latest decorating/modelling techniques and tools for creating intricate designs.
● Check and place decoration product reorders with suppliers and vendors
Qualifications
● Diploma in baking/dessert design. A Certified course in cake decoration is preferred.
● Minimum 3 years’ experience as a customized cake artist handling pastry decorating, modelling tools and varied, effective design techniques
● Valid food handlers permit-holder.
● Highly creative and detail-oriented.
● Knowledge of the latest trends, techniques and tools in cake decoration.
● Steady hand when working with fondant or different types of icings.
● Excellent customer service skills.
● Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, competitive work environment and adapt to working hours as required.
● Excellent time management and communication skills.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: AED4,500.00 - AED5,000.00 per month
