Job Title: Camp Manager
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Camp Manager to oversee the daily operations of our camp. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing staff, ensuring the safety and well-being of campers, and maintaining the overall quality of the camp experience.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Staff Management: Supervise and manage camp staff, including counselors, activity leaders, and support staff.
2. Camper Safety and Well-being: Ensure the safety and well-being of campers, including managing risks, responding to emergencies, and providing support as needed.
3. Program Management: Oversee the development and implementation of camp programs, including activities, events, and services.
4. Facilities Management: Manage the maintenance and upkeep of camp facilities, including buildings, grounds, and equipment.
5. Budgeting and Finance: Develop and manage budgets, track expenses, and ensure financial sustainability.
6. Communication: Communicate effectively with campers, staff, parents, and stakeholders, including resolving conflicts and addressing concerns.
7. Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks, including developing and implementing emergency response plans.
Requirements:
1. Experience: Proven experience in camp management or a related field, such as outdoor education or youth development.
2. Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and management skills, including the ability to motivate and support staff.
3. Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work with diverse groups.
4. Problem-Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
5. Certifications: Relevant certifications, such as CPR/First Aid or Wilderness First Responder, may be required.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Education: Degree in a related field, such as outdoor education, recreation, or business management.
2. Experience Working with Youth: Experience working with children or youth, including experience with diverse or underserved populations.
3. Knowledge of Camp Operations: Knowledge of camp operations, including safety protocols, risk management, and program development.
