As a Carbon Fiber Master, you will be responsible for designing, fabricating, repairing, and installing carbon fiber components for both interior and exterior automotive applications. You should have expert knowledge of carbon fiber layup techniques, mold making, vacuum infusion, and finishing processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and fabricate carbon fiber parts (interior trim, panels, spoilers, diffusers, hood/roof pieces, etc.)
- Use vacuum bagging and infusion methods for composite layups
- Sand, finish, clear coat, and polish carbon fiber parts for a high-gloss, showroom finish
- Collaborate with upholsterers, fabricators, and paint techs to integrate carbon parts into full builds
- Repair damaged carbon fiber parts to OEM or better standards
- Read blueprints, measurements, and client spec sheets to ensure precision craftsmanship
- Maintain workspace cleanliness and adhere to shop safety protocols
