About the Role
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Beam Saw Operator to join our production team. This role involves operating computer-controlled beam saw machines to cut wood panels and boards to precise dimensions as per job requirements. The ideal candidate will have experience in furniture or joinery manufacturing and a strong understanding of CNC machinery and safety practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate CNC beam saw machines to cut panels accurately according to cutting plans and technical drawings
- Upload and manage cutting programs, ensuring optimal material usage and precision
- Read and interpret shop drawings and cutting diagrams
- Set up machines, select appropriate blades, and adjust parameters for material type and thickness
- Monitor the cutting process and inspect output to ensure quality and accuracy
- Maintain machine cleanliness and perform routine maintenance to ensure consistent performance
- Identify and report any malfunctions, errors, or material inconsistencies
- Collaborate with the detailing and production teams to meet daily production targets
- Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment
- Keep records of work completed, material usage, and production performance
Requirements
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience operating CNC beam saw machines
- Strong ability to read and understand technical and shop drawings
- Familiarity with cutting optimization software is a plus
- Good mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy and safety
- Physically fit and able to handle large boards and panels
