As a professional in your role, your responsibilities and essential job functions will include but are not limited to:
- Assist with the preparation, cooking, and presentation of dishes in accordance with established recipes and brand standards
- Maintain the highest levels of food hygiene and sanitation in accordance with HACCP and hotel regulations
- Ensure mise en place is completed accurately and efficiently before each service period
- Operate all kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Support senior chefs in daily operations, food production, and maintaining kitchen cleanliness
- Ensure stock rotation, proper labelling, and minimal waste
- Follow instructions from the Chef de Partie and respond positively to feedback
- Participate in daily briefings, training sessions, and kitchen meetings
- Uphold the brand’s luxury service standards and deliver consistently high-quality food
Ideally, you should possess some or all the following qualifications and experience:
- 1–2 years of kitchen experience in a luxury hotel or fine-dining restaurant.
- Culinary diploma or equivalent professional training preferred
- Knowledge in international cuisine is an advantage
- Strong commitment to hygiene, safety, and kitchen organization
- Team-oriented with a positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Able to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Good English communication skills; additional language skills are a plus
- Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and public holidays
