- Assist in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of food as directed by the Chef de Partie or Sous Chef.
- Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen.
- Follow recipes and presentation specifications as set by the kitchen.
- Assist with receiving and storing deliveries correctly.
- Label and date all food items as per company policy.
- Ensure proper use and storage of all kitchen equipment.
- Learn and adhere to all food safety and health regulations.
- Help with stock rotation and reduction of kitchen waste.
- Support other kitchen sections when needed (hot, cold, pastry, etc.).
Requirements:
- Basic knowledge of kitchen operations and food safety.
- Culinary certificate or equivalent (preferred but not always required).
- Willingness to learn and follow instructions.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Good team spirit and communication skills.
- Flexible with working hours, including weekends and holidays
