The Construction Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for driving growth by identifying new business opportunities, cultivating client relationships, and expanding the company’s market presence in the construction industry. This role involves strategic planning, market research, lead generation, proposal development, and collaboration with internal teams to secure new projects and partnerships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the construction sector (commercial, residential, infrastructure, etc.).
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with developers, architects, contractors, consultants, government agencies, and other stakeholders.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, customer needs, and emerging opportunities.
- Prepare and deliver compelling proposals, presentations, and bids in coordination with estimating and project management teams.
- Participate in industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to enhance brand visibility and generate leads.
- Negotiate contracts and assist in closing deals while ensuring alignment with company objectives and profitability targets.
- Maintain a robust sales pipeline using CRM tools and provide regular reporting to senior management.
- Collaborate with internal teams (estimating, design, operations) to ensure seamless handover and execution of projects.
- Monitor client satisfaction and promote long-term partnerships and repeat business.
