- Examine patients’ skin, hair, and nails to identify conditions such as acne, eczema, psoriasis, infections, and pigmentation issues.
- Take detailed patient histories, including lifestyle, family history, and prior treatments.
- Order and interpret laboratory tests, skin biopsies, and allergy tests when require
- Prescribe topical, oral, or injectable medications.
- Perform dermatological procedures such as cryotherapy, excisions, cauterisation, laser treatments, and chemical peels.
- Provide wound care for skin injuries, burns, or post-surgical healing.
- Administer cosmetic dermatology treatments (if part of the medical centre’s services) such as Botox, fillers, or skin rejuvenation therapies.
- Advise patients on skincare routines, sun protection, and prevention of skin diseases.
- Educate on early detection of skin cancers and encourage regular screenings.
- Counsel on the impact of diet, stress, and lifestyle on skin health.
- Coordinate with other specialists (oncologists, endocrinologists, plastic surgeons) for multidisciplinary care.
- Refer patients to hospitals or specialized centres for advanced treatments when needed.
- Maintain accurate patient medical records.
- Ensure compliance with health regulations, infection control, and clinic protocols.
- Stay updated on the latest dermatological research, treatments, and technologies.
- Conduct skin health awareness programs or community outreach.
- Supervise junior doctors, nurses, or aestheticians.
- Participate in teledermatology consultations if offered by the centre.
