Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Draftman/woman to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical drawing abilities and a keen eye for detail. This role involves collaborating with engineers and architects to create precise drawings and plans for various projects. The Draftman/woman will play a crucial role in ensuring that designs are accurately represented and meet all specifications.
Duties
- Prepare detailed drawings and plans using computer-aided design (CAD) software.
- Collaborate with engineers and architects to understand project requirements and specifications.
- Review and analyse sketches, specifications, and other data to ensure accuracy in drawings.
- Communicate effectively with team members, clients, and stakeholders to clarify design details.
- Maintain organised records of all drafts, revisions, and project documentation.
- Conduct quality checks on completed drawings to ensure compliance with standards.
- Assist in the preparation of project proposals and presentations as needed.
- Utilise phone etiquette when liaising with clients or suppliers, ensuring professional communication at all times.
- Engage in upselling opportunities where applicable by highlighting additional services or products.
Requirements
- Proficiency in CAD software is essential; experience with 3D modelling is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Excellent communication skills in English; proficiency in Spanish or other languages is an advantage (bilingual candidates preferred).
- Experience in data entry and maintaining accurate records is required.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating strong organisational skills.
- A keen attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not mandatory; we welcome candidates eager to learn and grow within the industry.
