Job Summary
A Driver is responsible for operating vehicles to transport passengers or goods safely and efficiently, adhering to traffic laws and company policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Safe Operation: Drive vehicles in compliance with traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Route Planning: Determine the most efficient routes to destinations, considering traffic conditions.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform regular inspections and basic maintenance on vehicles.
- Customer Service: Provide courteous and professional service to passengers or clients.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of trips, mileage, fuel consumption, and maintenance.
- Loading/Unloading: Assist with loading and unloading goods or luggage as needed.
- Emergency Handling: Respond appropriately to accidents or emergencies.
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license appropriate for the vehicle type.
- Clean driving record.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Knowledge of local traffic laws and routes.
- Ability to lift heavy packages or assist passengers.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
