We are seeking a skilled Electrical Draftsman to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate electrical drawings and layouts in compliance with project specifications, authority guidelines, and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare electrical drawings including lighting, power, low current, and single-line diagrams using AutoCAD and other drafting tools.
- Assist engineers in developing detailed shop drawings and coordination layouts.
- Modify and update drawings based on engineering feedback and authority comments.
- Ensure drawings comply with local regulations and authority standards (e.g., ADDC, ADM).
- Maintain organized project documentation and drawing records.
- Coordinate with other disciplines (MEP, structural, architectural) for drawing consistency.
- Support quantity take-offs and bill of quantities (BOQ) preparation when needed.
Requirements:
- Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical certification.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in electrical drafting within the UAE construction/consultancy sector.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD is mandatory; knowledge of Revit is an advantage.
- Familiarity with UAE authority standards and submission requirements.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with the team.
