Job Purpose:
The Electrical Draughtsman will be responsible for preparing accurate and detailed electrical drawings for construction and MEP projects. This includes layouts, schematics, and wiring diagrams in accordance with project specifications, engineering standards, and local regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and develop detailed 2D/3D electrical drawings using AutoCAD or other CAD software.
- Draft layouts for lighting, power distribution, low-current systems, and other electrical installations.
- Ensure drawings meet project specifications, codes, and industry standards.
- Coordinate with engineers, architects, and other draughtsmen to resolve technical and design issues.
- Revise and update drawings based on site instructions, engineering changes, or design modifications.
- Maintain accurate records of all drawings, revisions, and updates.
- Assist in preparing material take-offs and BOQs from approved drawings.
- Support site teams with technical drawings during installation and execution phases.
- Liaise with suppliers and manufacturers to incorporate product details into design drawings.
- Ensure timely submission of drawings to meet project schedules.
