Job Description – Electrician
Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Electrician for our client . The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems, equipment, and wiring in residential, commercial, and/or industrial settings. The role requires strong technical knowledge, attention to safety, and the ability to troubleshoot electrical issues efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, systems, and fixtures.
- Inspect electrical components, such as circuit breakers, transformers, and switches.
- Identify electrical problems using testing devices and troubleshoot effectively.
- Ensure electrical systems comply with local, state, and national codes.
- Perform preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and hazards.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and specifications.
- Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and other technicians when required.
- Follow safety protocols and company procedures at all times.
- Provide timely reporting on repairs, maintenance, and installations.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an electrician (residential, commercial, or industrial).
- Diploma/Certificate in Electrical Technology or equivalent qualification.
- Valid electrician license (if required by local regulations).
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, hand tools, and power tools.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical diagrams.
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Physically fit and able to work in different environments.
- Strong commitment to safety practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in high-voltage systems.
- Knowledge of automation systems, generators, or renewable energy solutions.
- Ability to train apprentices or junior staff.
Working Conditions
- Full-time position; shifts may include evenings, weekends, or on-call duty.
- Work may be performed indoors, outdoors, or at construction sites.
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) required.
