Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Structural Engineer for a site supervision role in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. As a key member of our engineering team, you will oversee structural aspects of construction projects, ensuring quality, safety, and compliance with local regulations.
- Supervise and coordinate structural engineering activities on construction sites throughout Dubai
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure adherence to approved plans, quality standards, and safety regulations
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines to resolve technical issues and optimize project outcomes
- Manage and mentor junior engineers and team members, fostering a collaborative and professional work environment
- Review and approve structural designs, calculations, and drawings for compliance with local building codes and project specifications
- Implement and maintain rigorous quality control procedures for all structural elements
- Prepare detailed technical reports and presentations for project stakeholders
- Coordinate with the design team to address on-site challenges and propose innovative solutions
- Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to project managers and clients
- Ensure all structural work meets or exceeds industry standards and client expectations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering; Master's degree preferred
- Professional Engineering (PE) license or equivalent certification
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in structural engineering and site supervision, preferably in the construction industry
- Proven track record in managing large-scale construction projects in Dubai or similar environments
- In-depth knowledge of UAE building codes, regulations, and industry standards
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Advanced problem-solving and analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail
- Exceptional technical report writing and communication abilities
- Comprehensive understanding of building materials, methods, and quality control processes
