Looking for a knowledgeable and self-driven mid-level ESG Consultant to support the development and implementation of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) / Sustainability framework for our clients. The candidate must have knowledge of ESG reporting and sustainability frameworks. This role involves advising on ESG risks and opportunities, supporting disclosures, and helping clients align with global standards such as GRI, SASB, TCFD, and ISSB. This role offers candidate the opportunity to closely work with Senior ESG Consultant while the Candidate independently managing the engagements.
Responsibilities
- Conduct ESG risk assessments and materiality analyses to identify key sustainability issues.
- Advise clients on ESG strategy, policy development, and integration into business operations.
- Support the preparation of ESG disclosures and sustainability reports in alignment with frameworks such as GRI (Global Reporting Initiative), SASB (Sustainability Accounting Standards Board) and CDP.
- Monitor and interpret ESG regulatory developments (e.g., BRSR, ESRS, & UAE ESG mandates).
- Support clients with ESG ratings improvement (e.g., MSCI, Sustainalytics, S&P and EcoVadis).
- Help develop ESG training material and deliver workshops for clients.
- Co-ordinate with the different internal team members in conducting comprehensive research on various aspects of ESG and sustainability risks.
- Collect and analyze publicly available data related to ESG metrics, sustainability reports, and industry trends and regulatory changes.
- Support the team in preparing Business requirement documents (BRD’s) for development of in-house ESG reporting software, based on market analysis and client needs.
Qualification & Skill sets:
- A bachelor’s degree in commerce, economics, management, accounting, or finance;
- Any certification on ESG reporting or climate risk is a plus
- 3–4 years of experience in ESG or sustainability consulting.
- Familiarity with ESG regulatory frameworks and voluntary reporting standards.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently when necessary.
- Excellent time management skills, including the ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
