Job Title: Facility Manager

AIR Q is a dynamic organization committed to operational excellence, safety, and employee well-being. We are expanding our team and seeking a versatile Facility Manager to oversee our physical infrastructure while championing health and safety initiatives across all operations.
Role Summary
You will ensure our facilities operate seamlessly while embedding a culture of safety. This dual-focus role combines facility management (maintenance, security, space planning) with health & safety leadership (risk mitigation, compliance, training).
Key Responsibilities
Facility Management (70%)
- Oversee building maintenance (HVAC, electrical, plumbing) and manage vendor contracts.
- Manage all equipment servicing, including:
- Scheduling and overseeing routine and emergency maintenance for all machinery and devices in the facility.
- Identifying and contracting reliable service providers for equipment repairs and upkeep.
- Maintaining records of service history, warranties, and compliance for all equipment.
- Implement security protocols (access control, surveillance, etc.).
- Optimize space utilization for production, kitchen, and office areas.
- Manage facility budgets, procurement, and sustainability initiatives (energy/water efficiency).
- Coordinate renovations, relocations, and daily facility services (cleaning, waste management).
Health & Safety (30%)
- Develop/enforce H&S policies in compliance with local regulations (OSHA equivalent).
- Conduct risk assessments, safety audits, and incident investigations.
- Organize H&S training (fire drills, first aid, equipment handling).
- Maintain safety records and ensure emergency preparedness (PPE, evacuation plans).
- Promote employee wellness programs and ergonomic workplace practices.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Facility Management, Engineering, Occupational Safety, or related field.
- Experience:
- 2+ years in facility management, including maintenance/vendor oversight.
- Proven track record in health & safety program implementation.
- Certifications (Preferred):
- NEBOSH, OSHA 30, or equivalent H&S certification.
- CFM (Certified Facility Manager) or similar.
- Technical certifications related to equipment maintenance are a plus.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of building codes, fire safety regulations, and environmental standards.
- Familiarity with machinery and equipment maintenance protocols.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and crisis management.
- Excellent communication (able to train staff and liaise with regulators).
