Facility Executive

To be responsible to guide a team of maintenance personnel, including engineers and technicians in day to day maintenance of the hospital building and non-medical equipment.

3.1 To be responsible for executing project work being carried out inside the hospital premises.
3.2 Responsible for upgrading and modernization of utility equipment in various areas.
3.3 Dealing with government organizations and other establishments in relation with maintenance department.
3.4 Responsible for planning, costing and execution of various projects inside the hospital premises.
3.5 Taking policy decision in co-ordination with the management.
3.6 To be responsible to look after the welfare of the staff in the department.
3.7 Fixing of contractors for specific jobs with the help of system-in-charge.
3.8 Long-term planning in taking up renovation/modifications.
3.9 Responsible to prepare and project budget for maintenance activities.
3.10 To contribute to Quality initiatives
3.11 To train the staff for effective application and up-gradation of equipment.
3.12 Conveying day-to-day meeting of engineers/supervisors and analyzing problems and finding solutions.
3.13 To co-ordinate with other departments for different projects.
3.14 To analyze the day-to-day problems which are recurring in nature and finding solutions for the same.
3.15 To do the appraisal of the staff with the help of Assistant Engineer and System In charges
3.16 To analyze the complaints and take necessary actions.
3.17 To take personnel decisions regarding the staff. 

3.18 Fixing of contractors for specific jobs with the help of system in-charge.
3.19 Long-term planning in taking up renovations /modifications.
3.20 To be responsible for disciplined departmental functioning
3.21 To contribute to Quality initiative
3.22 To perform any job /work as and when assigned by the superior.
3.23 To set up specific targets in the departments.
3.24 To see work related problems faced by Technicians/supervisors and finding solutions.
3.25 To perform any job /work as and when assigned by the superior
3.26 To manage the respective section in day-to-day activities.
3.27 To carry out all routine, preventive maintenance scheduling.
3.28 To organize manpower, materials for the day-to-day activities.
3.29 To assign work for technicians.
3.30 To overlook the contract jobs in the respective fields
3.31 To take care of welfare of the staff
3.32 To be a member of the FMS committee and to contribute actively.
3.33 To identify risk factors and take necessary actions. 

ELECTRICAL
3.34 To check in the logbook for the day's work.
3.35 To allocate the manpower for the same.
3.36 To arrange the necessary materials
3.37 To indent the materials if items are not available.
3.38 Inspecting the floor distribution panels and electrical rooms.
3.39 To cross check the generators log book.
3.40 To allocate preventive maintenance work.
3.41 To maintain History cards. To ensure that the allocated work is completed.
3.42 To co-ordinate with TNEB for the supply of power.
3.43 To carry out Electrical inspection with CIEG inspectors and to rectify the problems mentioned by them.
3.44 To carry out other works as and when assigned

3.45 To check in the logbook for the day's work.
3.46 To prepare for preventive maintenance.
3.47 To carry out breakdown maintenance.
3.48 To maintain the air handling units, fan coil units, window a/c's, split a/c's, package units and central air
conditioning plants.
3.49 To carry out modification works in A/C.
3.50 To maintain and inspect the chilled water line system.
3.51 To plan for shutdown works and carryout the same.
3.52 To inspect all the A/C equipment's.
3.53 To prepare costing work for major renovations/modifications.
3.54 To attend to it's problems and solving them
UTILITY MAINTENANCE
3.55 To check the logbook for the day's work and carry out the same.
3.56 To arrange for routine preventive maintenance.
3.57 To go for rounds to kitchen, laundry and C.S.S.D for the functioning of equipment.
PLUMBING
3.58 To inspect the quality and quantity of water.
3.59 To arrange water for the hospital use.
3.60 To fix up tankers for supplying water.
3.61 To inspect drainage ducts and attend to the problem.
3.62 To organize waterline alteration works.
3.63 To seek to drainage maintenance.
3.64 To co-ordinate with corporation personnel in solving the problems.
3.65 To seek to pollution control board.
3.66 To maintain fire hydrant.
3.67 To inspect pumps for it's functioning.
3.68 To maintain softener plant. 

3.69 To prepare schedule for tank cleaning.
3.70 To plan, organize and do costing work for new projects.
3.71 BUILDING/FLOOR
3.72 To coordinate with the housekeeping and Guest Relations department in solving the problems.
3.73 To carry out work in under-repair rooms.
3.74 To organize for minor modifications /renovations.
3.75 To prepare schedule for painting.
3.76 To organize for the civil and carpentry works in the hospital.
3.77 To go for rounds and note down the problems and attending the same.
3.78 To prepare Work order Sanction and carry out the same.
3.79 To carry out the work requested in the ION sent by the various departments.
3.80 To arrange for manpower in case of breakdown in boilers and in other areas.
3.81 To inform HOD about the problem and getting it approved for performing the same.
3.82 To deal with the contractor in the respective areas of work.
3.83 To perform any job /work as and when assigned by the superior.
3.84 To carry out the activities during the shift.
3.85 To attend to problems related to patient areas and other public areas.
3.86 To look after the job order send from other department.
3.87 To take care of operation of utility equipment such as A/C plant, generator, boilers, pump rooms.
3.88 To report to the systems in charge regarding various breakdown in plant system and major problems.
3.89 To note down the activities in the logbook and following it up.
3.90 To organize manpower to meet day-to-day problems.
3.91 To perform any job /work as and when assigned by the superior.
3.92 Comply with all OSH and infection control policies, standards and procedures and cooperate with hospital
management to comply those requirements
3.93 Work accordance with the documented OSH procedures and instructions, specific responsibilities
3.94 Be familiar with emergency and evacuation procedures
3.95 Notifying OSH Hazards, incidents, Near misses and issues and assistance with the preparation of risk
assessments, incident reports

3.96 Comply with Waste management procedures and policies
3.97 Attend applicable OSH/Infection control training programs, mock drills and awareness programs
3.98 Use of appropriate personal protective equipment and safety systems.
3.99 Ensure that employee follow applicable OSH/ Infection control policies, procedures and standards
3.100 Provide OSH information, training and Supervision to the staff
3.101 Report any OSH relevant Incident, Near misses and hazards in the departments in timely manner.
3.102 Make sure that incident corrective action has been implemented.
3.103 Assist with preparation of risk assessments and monitoring the control measures.
3.104 Ensure trainings are conducted, including general/departmental/FMS/OSH orientation for new employees and
transferred employees, refresher training for department staff etc

4.1 B.E / Graduate Engineer
4.2 5 to 10 years’ experience in the relevant field.
4.3 With management skills, interpersonal skills, time management, knowledge of equipment and maintenance,
analytical skills
4.4 Good English spoken and written, Arabic language advantageous, desirable, but not essential
