The personal driver's primary duty is to provide a safe and comfortable transportation, encompassing route planning, vehicle maintenance, and ensuring the passenger's safety and comfort. They also handle tasks like maintaining mileage logs, adhering to traffic laws, and managing vehicle upkeep and other errands to provide ease and support to daily routine of the employer and his family members.
Core Duties:
Safety and Good Driving Skills – adheres to traffic laws, maintaining a safe driving record, and driving in a courteous manner.
Route Familiarity and Navigation – ability in using GPS or other navigation tools to efficiently plan routes and information for traffic or road closures.
Communication and Appearance - speaks English well, possess a pleasant personality and maintains a good personal hygiene.
Vehicle Maintenance – by conducting routine checks, fuelling, and maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the vehicle.
Passenger Comfort and Safety - Ensures a comfortable and safe environment for passengers, including adjusting temperature, providing assistance with loading and unloading, and maintaining a clean interior.
Time Management - arriving on time and adhering to schedules, while also being flexible in case of unforeseen circumstances. Willing to do extended duty timing and other urgent errands.
Documentation - maintaining accurate records of trips, mileage, and any other relevant information.
Client Confidentiality and Discretion - maintaining a professional and discreet demeanor, especially when dealing with high-profile clients.
Additional Responsibilities:
Administrative Tasks - this may include handling expense reports, filing paperwork, managing vehicle maintenance record and registration renewal.
Emergency Preparedness - being aware of emergency procedures and being able to respond appropriately in case of accidents or other emergencies.
Coordination and Communication- communicating effectively with the employer, family members, guests and other relevant parties.
Vehicle Upkeep:
This includes cleaning the vehicle's interior and exterior, ensuring it's in good working order, and addressing any maintenance needs.
Following Instructions- adhering to company policies and procedures, as well as the specific instructions of the client or employer.
Other errands to provide ease and support the daily routine of the employer and his family members.
