Role Overview:
The Fire Watch is critical in monitoring hot work activities (such as welding, cutting, and grinding) to prevent fires and ensure compliance with safety standards aboard ships, in shipyards, and at waterfront facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Constantly monitor hot work areas for sparks, slag, and potential fire hazards during welding, cutting, and grinding operations.
- Maintain a clear view of all areas where hot work is being performed.
- Immediately extinguish small fires using appropriate firefighting equipment.
- Sound alarms and notify personnel in the event of an emergency or uncontrolled fire.
- Ensure that work areas are free from flammable materials or properly protected with fire-resistant blankets and shields.
- Complete and maintain fire watch logs, reports, and checklists as required.
- Understand and enforce marine hot work permits and fire safety protocols.
- Assist with evacuation procedures if needed during an emergency.
- Perform other safety-related duties when hot work is not being performed, such as hazard recognition and housekeeping.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: AED1,000.00 - AED1,200.00 per month

Education:
- High school or equivalent (Preferred)
Experience:
- Fire Watcher: 2 years (Required)
