We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor (Fit-Out) with a minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in fit-out projects. The ideal candidate must be well-versed in both pre-contract and post-contract stages, with a strong background in cost estimation, procurement, contract administration, and final account settlements.
Key Responsibilities:Pre-Contract:
- Prepare detailed cost estimates and BOQs based on drawings/specifications.
- Conduct quantity take-offs and cost planning.
- Assist in tender preparation and pricing.
- Evaluate subcontractor quotations and ensure alignment with project scope.
- Provide value engineering proposals to achieve cost efficiency.
Post-Contract:
- Monitor project costs and budgets, ensuring financial control throughout.
- Manage and certify subcontractor payments and valuations.
- Prepare and issue variations and claims in coordination with the project team.
- Track and manage project costs, identifying and resolving deviations.
- Final account preparation and agreement with clients/subcontractors.
Requirements:
- Minimum 4 years of proven experience in a fit-out contracting firm.
- Strong knowledge of commercial fit-out projects (interiors, retail, F&B, corporate offices, etc.).
- Proficiency in quantity surveying software (e.g., Candy, CostX, Excel).
- Familiar with standard forms of contract (FIDIC is a plus).
- Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
Preferred Attributes:
- RICS or equivalent certification is an advantage.
- UAE/GCC experience preferred (if applicable).
- Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
