Position Overview:
As the Fleet Coordinator at UIG, you will play a vital role in supporting the management and operations of our fleet. You will work closely with the Fleet Manager to ensure the smooth functioning of our vehicles and drivers, while also contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our transportation services.
Responsibilities:
- Fleet Maintenance: Assist in coordinating and overseeing the maintenance schedules for all vehicles, ensuring they are properly serviced and inspected according to regulations and company standards.
- Driver Supervision: Monitor driver performance, including adherence to safety protocols, scheduling, and compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Compliance and Regulations: Stay up to date with relevant regulations and industry standards pertaining to fleet management, ensuring full compliance at all times.
- Data Analysis: Analyze fleet data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance productivity and cost-effectiveness.
- Emergency Response: Assist in developing and implementing emergency response protocols to address accidents, breakdowns, and other unforeseen incidents involving fleet vehicles.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records and documentation related to fleet operations, including vehicle maintenance logs, driver records, and regulatory compliance reports.
- Vendor Relations: Liaise with vendors, suppliers, and service providers to negotiate contracts, procure goods and services, and ensure timely delivery of products and support.
- Quotations and Price Negotiation: Solicit quotations from multiple vendors for fleet-related products / spare parts and services, evaluate proposals, and negotiate prices to secure the best value for the company.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, logistics, and finance, to support overall business objectives and ensure alignment with company goals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, logistics, transportation management, or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum 1-2 years’ experience working in similar role.
- Proven experience in fleet management or a similar role, with knowledge of industry best practices and regulations.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage competing priorities effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with diverse stakeholders, including drivers, technicians, and senior management.
- Proficiency in fleet management software and Microsoft Office Suite ( Excel) .
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record ( Manual) .
