Site Foreman – Finishing & Carpentry

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Site Foreman – Finishing & Carpentry to oversee, coordinate, and manage all on-site activities related to interior finishing, carpentry, and joinery works. The ideal candidate will ensure the delivery of high-quality finishes in line with project specifications, deadlines, and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of carpentry and finishing crews on site.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Ensure finishing works (doors, cabinetry, moldings, wall paneling, ceilings, partitions, flooring, etc.) are completed to design specifications and quality standards.
- Manage site logistics, material deliveries, and storage for finishing and carpentry works.
- Allocate work to tradesmen and monitor progress to ensure deadlines are met.
- Inspect work to ensure quality, accuracy, and adherence to health & safety regulations.
- Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and other site supervisors for smooth workflow.
- Report site progress, delays, issues, and workforce needs to the project manager.
- Maintain and enforce site cleanliness, safety procedures, and company policies.
- Identify design or construction issues and suggest practical solutions.
- Ensure proper use, storage, and maintenance of carpentry tools and equipment.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a supervisory role in finishing and/or carpentry works.
- Proven experience with fit-out, joinery, woodwork, and finishing in residential, commercial, or hospitality projects.
- Strong knowledge of materials, installation techniques, and finishing standards.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and local building regulations.
- Ability to manage a team under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Trade certification or diploma in carpentry, construction management, or related field is preferred.
Preferred Skills:
- Attention to detail and high standards for quality.
- Hands-on experience in carpentry or finishing.
- Computer skills for reporting and documentation (basic MS Office).
- Familiarity with project management software or apps is a plus.
