We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Furniture Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in designing, building, repairing, and installing a wide range of wooden furniture items such as chairs, tables, cabinets, and custom pieces. This role requires a strong understanding of woodworking techniques, materials, tools, and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, or design plans.
- Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood and other materials to build furniture such as tables, chairs, cabinets, wardrobes, and shelving units.
- Install furniture and fittings in residential, commercial, or office settings.
- Repair or refurbish damaged furniture, including replacing parts, refinishing surfaces, and reinforcing joints.
- Operate woodworking machinery and hand tools such as saws, chisels, planers, and sanders.
- Select appropriate materials (wood types, hardware, finishes) based on design specifications and customer needs.
