Job Summary
The Head Hostess–Pool & Beach is responsible for leading and overseeing the front-of-house operations in an outdoor, relaxed, yet luxurious environment. This role ensures that every guest is welcomed warmly, seated seamlessly, and provided with a memorable dining experience that reflects the high standards of the Pool & Beach venue. The Head Hostess supervises hostesses, manages reservations and guest flow, coordinates with service teams, and maintains the ambiance and efficiency of the area while delivering exceptional guest service
Responsibilities
Lead the hostess team in greeting and seating guests, ensuring a professional, welcoming, and personalized experience from arrival to departure.
Oversee and manage reservations and waitlists, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and alignment with the venue’s capacity and service standards.
Supervise guest seating arrangements, accommodating preferences such as shaded areas, poolside views, and accessibility requirements.
Maintain high service standards by monitoring hostess performance, providing guidance, and ensuring professional guest interactions at all times.
Act as the main point of contact for guest concerns or special requests, ensuring swift and effective resolution.
Coordinate closely with the kitchen, bar, and service teams to optimize guest flow, minimize delays, and enhance overall service delivery.
Ensure the entrance, lobby, and waiting areas remain clean, organized, and inviting, while monitoring guest comfort during wait times.
Oversee the celebration of special occasions, ensuring thoughtful arrangements and memorable guest experiences.
Provide accurate and engaging information about menus, daily specials, and signature offerings, tailoring suggestions to guest needs.
Monitor and maintain proper table turnover, ensuring prompt clearing and resetting of tables to maximize efficiency.
Keep records of guest preferences and repeat visitors to deliver consistent, personalized service.
Support team members during peak business hours, assisting in seating, guest relations, and maintaining smooth operations.
Facilitate communication between management and the hostess team, ensuring alignment with operational goals and service standards.
Lead by example, fostering a positive, collaborative, and professional work environment within the hostess and service teams.
Attend and contribute to pre-shift briefings, training, and team meetings, ensuring continuous improvement and service consistency.
Perform additional duties assigned by management to support departmental and property-wide objectives

Qualifications
Experience
Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Head Hostess in fine dining or luxury hospitality, with at least 1 year in a supervisory/lead role.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to manage guest interactions with professionalism and warmth.
Strong leadership and organizational skills with the ability to manage a team and ensure efficient front-of-house operations.
Familiarity with reservation and table management software (e.g., OpenTable, ResDiary, SevenRooms, or similar).
Professional appearance and grooming in line with luxury hospitality standards.
Ability to remain composed under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Strong knowledge of the restaurant’s menu, specials, and unique offerings, with the ability to confidently provide recommendations.
