We are hiring for an experienced Accountant with a strong background in travel and tourism accounting. The ideal candidate will manage daily financial operations, ensure accurate reporting, and maintain compliance with UAE regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage full-cycle accounting: GL, AP/AR, reconciliations, month/year-end closings
- Prepare financial reports and ensure compliance with legal standards
- Handle budgeting, cash flow management, and financial forecasting
- Reconcile travel-related accounts (deposits, invoices, bookings, etc.)
- Track revenues/expenses for tours, events, and packages
- Collaborate with operations to validate costs, commissions, and margins
- Ensure VAT and tax compliance in line with UAE laws
- Coordinate audits and support preparation of financial statements
- Supervise junior staff and provide training as needed
- Maintain accounting records using ERP systems
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance (CPA or equivalent preferred)
- 3–5 years of accounting experience in the travel, tourism, or events sector
- Strong knowledge of UAE VAT, IFRS/GAAP, and regulatory compliance
- Proficient in QuickBooks, Tally, Zoho Books, or ERP systems
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Preferred:
- Experience with multi-currency accounting
- Familiarity with agent/vendor reconciliation and commission tracking
- Knowledge of financial planning for large-scale travel events
