Build Earth Contracting LLC is a leading construction firm in Dubai, specializing in infrastructure development and committed to delivering high-quality projects. We are seeking an experienced Professional Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate is highly skilled in Microsoft Excel and Tally, and will take charge of our day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all accounting functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Management: Oversee and manage company expenses, cash flow, and supplier payments to ensure healthy liquidity and timely payments.
- Invoicing & Quotations: Prepare and issue accurate invoices for clients and create detailed quotations for projects as needed, maintaining clear records in Tally.
- Payroll Administration: Prepare monthly salary sheets and ensure on-time, accurate payroll processing for all staff.
- VAT Filings: Handle VAT calculations and filings in compliance with UAE regulations, ensuring timely submission and proper documentation.
- Reporting: Deliver weekly and monthly financial reports on the company’s financial status (cash flow summaries, budget vs. actuals, profit/loss statements, etc.), providing insights into various aspects of the business’s financial health.
- Office Oversight & HR Support: Oversee office administrative staff in their day-to-day tasks and provide support for HR-related duties (such as maintaining attendance records, coordinating with HR on leave and employee expenses, etc.).
- Record Keeping: Maintain up-to-date financial records in Tally and Excel, including all transactions, receipts, and expenditures, ensuring data integrity and easy retrieval for audits or reviews.
- Compliance: Ensure all financial practices adhere to company policies and local accounting standards. Assist with audit preparation and liaise with external auditors if required.
Qualifications and Skills
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional certifications (CPA, CA, ACCA) are a plus.
- Experience: Approximately 3-5 years of accounting experience (mid-level) in a similar role. Experience in the construction/contracting industry or SME environment in the UAE is advantageous.
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Tally ERP/accounting software is mandatory. Ability to create complex spreadsheets, use formulas/pivot tables, and effectively utilize Tally for all accounting functions.
- Accounting Knowledge: Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial statements, and bookkeeping. Hands-on experience managing cash flow, accounts payable/receivable, and general ledger entries.
- VAT Knowledge: Familiarity with UAE VAT regulations and prior experience preparing and filing VAT returns.
- Organizational Skills: Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple financial tasks and deadlines. Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle weekly/monthly reporting cycles.
- Communication: Good written and verbal communication skills in English. Ability to clearly communicate financial information and work collaboratively with other departments (e.g., explaining budgets or expenses to project managers).
- Team Player: Ability to work well in a team and oversee junior staff or administrative personnel. Should be proactive and willing to support various departments (finance, admin, HR) as needed.
- Integrity: High level of integrity and professionalism, especially when handling confidential financial information.
