Position: General Manager for Building Materials Distributor
Location: Dubai, UAE
Compensation: Salary + Commission
Job description:
We are a global company that manufactures and distributes laminated veneer lumber to wholesalers and large construction companies worldwide.
We have recently installed a large warehouse in the Middle East and are seeking a General Manager to oversee efficient distribution and help us grow in this new market.
Responsibilities include (but not limited to):
- Overseeing warehouse workers and organization
- Processing sales and invoicing
- Trucking and distribution set up and management
- Basic accounting
Experience/knowledge required:
- Minimum 10 years in a senior management role
- Accounting software such as Quickbooks
- UAE business structure and legal requirements
- Import and export including required documentation
- Local taxes including import, export and VAT
- Basic contract, laws and compliance
- Fluent in English
- Computer proficiency
- Business degree preferred, but candidates with high levels of industry experience will also be considered.
- Experience in timber/LVL/building materials is preferred but not required
- Dubai-based applicants only, no relocation costs will be considered
