Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Head Chef specialized in Indian cuisine to lead our kitchen team. The Head Chef will oversee all kitchen operations, ensure high-quality food preparation, maintain hygiene standards, and develop innovative menu items. This role requires expertise in both tandoor and curry cooking.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the kitchen team to deliver consistent, high-quality Indian dishes.
- Prepare authentic Indian food including curries, biryanis, breads, tandoori items, and snacks.
- Design and update menus in coordination with management.
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, food preparation, and presentation.
- Manage inventory, control food costs, and minimize waste.
- Train, mentor, and supervise kitchen staff.
- Maintain strict hygiene and food safety standards.
- Plan special menus for events and promotions.
Requirements:
- Minimum 6 years of professional experience in Indian cuisine, with at least 2 years in a Head Chef or senior role.
- Strong skills in both tandoor and curry preparation.
- Proven leadership and team management abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of cost control, menu engineering, and kitchen organization.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
Working Hours: 10 hours per day, 6 days a week (weekly off provided).
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: AED3,000.00 - AED5,000.00 per month
