QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- 2-4-year Culinary degree or equivalent formal culinary training
- Level 2 – HACCP
- Safe Chemical Handling (Basic Training)
- Private chef experience in a VVIP household (recommended)
- English Level – Written and Spoken (mandatory)
- 3+ years’ experience working in an acclaimed 5* restaurant or hotel
- International living and working essential
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Assist in the preparation and production of international dishes under the guidance of senior chefs.
- Ensure all food is prepared, cooked, and presented according to established recipes, portioning, and quality standards.
- Maintain high levels of hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen in line with HACCP and food safety regulations.
- Support mise en place activities, including washing, chopping, marinating, and pre-cooking ingredients.
- Learn and follow kitchen procedures, techniques, and plating styles specific to various international cuisines.
- Handle food storage and rotation to minimize waste and ensure freshness.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently; report any malfunctions to the chef in charge.
- Comply with all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines at all times.
- Work cooperatively with team members across various kitchen sections, including pastry, hot, and cold kitchens.
- Take direction from chefs de partie and sous chefs while actively developing culinary knowledge and skills.
- Assist in receiving and checking food deliveries against order specifications.
- Contribute to maintaining a clean and organized workstation and kitchen environment.
- Uphold the standards of the establishment, respecting cultural and dietary preferences of guests or clients.
