Job Summary:
For Abu Dhabi, We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Inventory Manager to oversee and optimize inventory operations for our building materials business. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in inventory control, warehouse management, and supply chain logistics, with hands-on experience in the building materials industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily inventory management across warehouses and distribution centers.
- Monitor stock levels and ensure timely replenishment of key building materials.
- Develop and implement inventory control procedures to minimize loss, damage, or misplacement.
- Conduct regular physical inventory audits and cycle counts; reconcile discrepancies.
- Analyze inventory reports and make recommendations for purchasing and stock movement.
- Collaborate with procurement, sales, and logistics teams to forecast demand and ensure accurate order fulfillment.
- Manage warehouse layout to optimize space utilization and inventory accessibility.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
- Train and supervise warehouse and inventory staff.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
- 3–5 years of experience in inventory or warehouse management, specifically in the building materials industry.
- Strong knowledge of inventory software and systems (e.g., WMS, ERP).
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
- Proven leadership and team management experience.
- Familiarity with materials such as cement, steel, timber, drywall, insulation, and hardware products.
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to lift heavy items and work in warehouse conditions as needed.
Preferred Skills:
- Certification in inventory management (e.g., CPIM, CSCP) is a plus.
- Experience with lean inventory practices and just-in-time (JIT) systems.
- Forklift certification or experience is a bonus.
