Job Purpose:
The Mechanical Draughtsman will be responsible for preparing detailed mechanical drawings, layouts, and designs for construction and MEP projects. The role involves working closely with the project, engineering, and site teams to ensure accurate and compliant designs in accordance with project specifications and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and develop detailed 2D and 3D mechanical drawings using AutoCAD or other CAD software.
- Create layouts for HVAC, plumbing, fire fighting, and other mechanical systems based on project requirements.
- Ensure all drawings are in line with project specifications, codes, and industry standards.
- Coordinate with engineers, architects, and other draughtsmen to resolve technical and design issues.
- Revise and update drawings based on site instructions, engineering changes, and design modifications.
- Maintain accurate records of all drawings, revisions, and updates.
- Assist in preparing material take-offs and BOQs from approved drawings.
- Ensure timely delivery of drawings to meet project schedules.
- Support site teams with technical drawings during installation and execution phases.
- Liaise with suppliers and manufacturers to incorporate product details into design drawings.
