As a Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day mechanical activities at the site, maintenance and operations. This role requires in-depth experience in the MEP contracting field ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and to high-quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of technicians, ensuring they carry out tasks related to HVAC, plumbing, drainage and general repairs.
- Ensure that all work adheres to company standards and complies with health and safety regulations.
- Plan and schedule preventive maintenance programs as per the contracts to reduce downtime and extend the lifespan of facilities and equipment.
- Coordinate with contractors and vendors for site inspections when necessary.
- Oversee projects, ensuring that requirements are integrated during the construction phase and post-completion.
- Provide technical expertise and support for troubleshooting and resolving issues related to mechanical and plumbing (MEP) systems.
- Perform regular inspections to ensure the work is of high quality, and is done correctly.
- Ensure compliance with building codes and safety standards, and maintain proper documentation for audits and inspections.
- Monitor the stock levels of tools, spare parts, and materials, and reorder as necessary.
- Provide training and mentorship to the maintenance team, ensuring they stay updated on industry best practices and safety procedures.
- Handle staff scheduling, workload distribution, and performance evaluations for the technicians.
· Participate in accident investigation, and root cause analysis and provide assistance in preparing reports.
· Participate in improvement efforts to enhance the safety, productivity and quality of the department.
Skills & Qualification/ Experience
· Thorough knowledge in handling the power tools, mechanical equipment and/or machineries.
· Developing and leading an effective team
· Experience working in a Contracting Firm.
Qualifications:
Certified Trade technicians are preferred.
