Job Description
The Night Manager is responsible for managing all hotel operations during overnight shifts, ensuring smooth functioning of the property, maintaining the highest levels of guest service, and safeguarding resort assets. This role acts as the Manager on Duty (MOD) during the night and ensures all departments operate in line with resort standards, brand values, and UAE hospitality regulations.
Guest Service & Operations
Act as the main contact for guests during the night, handling VIP arrivals, guest complaints, and special requests with efficiency and professionalism.
Ensure smooth check-in and check-out processes, including late arrivals and early departures.
Monitor guest satisfaction, resolve issues promptly, and report incidents to relevant department heads.
Assist in emergency situations (fire alarms, medical issues, security matters), following resort policies and procedures.
Administration & Reports
Oversee and verify the completion of all front office duties during the night shift.
Conduct daily night audit to balance guest accounts, verify financial transactions, and prepare system-generated reports.
Ensure accurate handover of guest and operational information to the morning management team.
Prepare incident reports and update the Duty Manager logbook.
Team Supervision
Supervise night shift staff including Front Desk, Concierge, Security, and Housekeeping (night team).
Conduct staff briefings, allocate duties, and ensure grooming and service standards are maintained.
Provide guidance and training to the team for continuous improvement and development.
Safety & Security
Ensure the safety and security of guests, team members, and property assets during the night.
Coordinate with Security to handle emergencies, guest disturbances, and safety checks.
Monitor CCTV and patrol public areas to ensure guest comfort and safety.
Financial & Audit Control
Ensure all revenues are accurately posted and balanced at the end of the day.
Monitor cash handling and credit procedures, ensuring compliance with financial policies.
Investigate and resolve discrepancies reported by the Night Audit.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree/diploma in Hospitality Management or related field.
Minimum 3–5 years of Front Office/Manager-on-Duty experience in a luxury resort or five-star property.
