At Black Salt, we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional culinary experiences with every plate. We are currently seeking a Pastry & Bakery Commis to join our kitchen team and support our pastry chef in preparing high-quality baked goods and desserts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of pastries, breads, and other baked items as per the menu and chef’s direction.
- Follow recipes and presentation standards consistently.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the pastry and bakery section.
- Monitor ingredients and inform the chef of stock levels.
- Ensure food is stored and handled safely according to health standards.
Requirements:
- Prior experience or formal training in bakery and pastry preferred.
- Passion for baking and attention to detail.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Team player with a willingness to learn and grow.
- Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as required.
