Job Purpose:
To assist the Pastry Chef in preparing and producing high-quality desserts, sweets, and baked goods according to Al Hallab’s standards and recipes. The Pastry Commis ensures cleanliness, proper storage, and adherence to hygiene standards in the pastry section.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and production of all pastry items including Arabic sweets, cakes, cookies, mousses, and other desserts.
- Follow recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications as set by the Pastry Chef.
- Properly store and label all ingredients and finished products.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the pastry workstation at all times.
- Ensure ingredients and products are handled in a hygienic and safe manner.
- Support senior pastry team members in daily mise en place and prep work.
- Assist in inventory control and checking expiry of pastry ingredients.
- Comply with food safety, health, and sanitation guidelines.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Pastry Chef.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Basic knowledge of baking techniques and pastry equipment.
- Passion for pastry arts and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and follow instructions.
- Team player with good communication and time-management skills.
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: AED1,800.00 - AED2,700.00 per month
