To lead the event department for Hermes Middle East and take full accountability for ‘end to end’ event management and retail animation.
Responsibilities
- Being able to choose the appropriate event and retail animation activities to support the business strategy in line with the current and upcoming yearly strategies of the company.
- Being updated on the portfolio of events and retail animation to support several product category and new collection received from the Paris HQ every 6 months.
- Partake in brainstorming with the team and to participate in discussing the event and retail animation strategy of the year by deciding on the appropriate timings of the year, defining the target and choosing the right location.
- Possess good knowledge of the market to adapt and localize the international events and retail animations proposed by HQ by challenging the guidelines, proposing new ideas, coming up with diverse concepts, suggest different venues, bespoke the event as per our region and clients.
- Work closely with the Client communication experts & the Press dept to define the right reach per event, to know the exact CRM & PR strategy and to invite the right target as per the event concept and objectives.
- Define the Owned Activations & communication channels for each Event.
- Being able to develop the right owned assets per project along with HI & the creative agency.
- Being the point of contact with stores and stores managers in the region and to brief the sale’s team on future events and retail animations and to make sure the objectives are well understood.
- In charge of the event and retail animation budget of the communication department respecting the amount defined at the beginning of the year and to have the ability to forecast a global budget per event/ RA and to follow up until the final day of the event.
- Source different suppliers per event and compare prices and quality, ensuring a healthy working environment for our suppliers.
- Possess good knowledge of the event process, able to build a retro planning, a project plan, and a report per event.
- Professional and effective management of all partners and service providers including agencies in line with Hermes standards.
- Manage in an efficient way all the event services by proposing experiential animation per event in line with Hermès Paris brief such as venue, production, catering, entertainers, hostesses, logistics.
- Being responsible and accountable for production and setup part, along with HQ, Creative and production agency.
- Being the point of Contact for Paris HQ regarding the events calendar and plan:
Note the briefs and guidelines.
Update them on the event construction.
Discuss the event details and get the approval on the final concept.
Report the quantitative and qualitative KPI’s per event.
- Stay updated on the competitors’ latest events and strategies and make sure to have the right understanding of the Middle East region in terms of event for the luxury industry.
Measures of success
- Effective, timely and professional communication with all the partners, suppliers, other departments, and communication team members.
- Delivery of ‘end to end’ event management (including from production to services) to the highest standards and in line with the Hermes and Al Mana Retail values.
- Gathering the right attendance, and the number targeted and providing qualitative and quantitative feedback after events.
- Smooth and successful implementation of retail animation acitivites in the region.
Experience
- Must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in event.
- Experience of delivering events in the Middle East.
- Know-how on the luxury industry and competitor event details.
- Retail experience to understand the business strategy.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Multitasking ability, very organized, creative, team player, operational aptitude.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Flexible to work out of office timing and location.
- Able to travel regionally and internationally.
- Fluent in English, French would be beneficial.
