Core Responsibilities:
- Pilot vessels in and out of port and through restricted waterways.
- Utilize navigational charts, electronic charts, and other navigational aids to assess vessels condition and its readiness for routing.
- Arrange pre and post-pilotage debriefings and incident reports to ensure safe and efficient navigation within the port and harbor.
- Identify vessel navigation risks and hazards, investigate causes and implement appropriate mitigation plans.
- Assist in the development of pilotage procedures and standards.
- Represent the company as a maritime expert.
- Stay abreast of pilotage best practices and port and harbor conditions.
- Ensure compliance with maritime regulations and safety procedures.
- Conduct pilot training and development programs.

- Bachelor in Nautical Science (Applied Science), Marine Studies, or equivalent. Master's degree is a plus
- Excellent English. Arabic is an added advantage
- A minimum of 6-8 years of experience in Marine Operation
- Significant experience as a marine officer with a strong knowledge of local waters.
- Extensive knowledge of navigation and seamanship.
- Must be proficient in all Microsoft applications, advance knowledge of Excel is an asset.
- Ability to understand strategic issues and hold an overall perspective of the organization.
- Cultural sensitivity and adaptability.
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills to identify and address complex challenges and opportunities and make data-driven decisions.
