Warehouse Porter – Key Responsibilities
- Assist with receiving, unloading, and storing deliveries, ensuring all items are handled with care and accurately recorded.
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for dispatch, following specific instructions and ensuring the correct items are selected and securely packaged.
- Move stock and materials throughout the warehouse safely, using manual handling techniques and equipment as required.
- Carry out regular stock checks and report any discrepancies or damaged items promptly to supervisors.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe warehouse environment, ensuring all walkways and exits remain clear and goods are stored appropriately.
- Support the team with general warehouse duties, including waste management, recycling, and equipment checks.
- Follow all health and safety guidelines and take responsibility for operating in a safe and compliant manner at all times.
- Provide assistance to other departments during busy periods or when required, ensuring flexibility and teamwork across the business.
