The British School Al Khubairat is looking to employ a one year temporary Primary PE Coach, to commence September 2025. The role involves supporting the PE Department to ensure high levels of coaching across a range of abilities in Primary school with a specific focus on EYFS.
BSAK is rated ‘Outstanding’ across all performance standards in both our local Government Agency inspection (ADEK) and that of British Schools Overseas (BSO). In 2023, the School was awarded five awards in the Schools Compared.com ‘Top School Awards’ - Overall Best School in the UAE, Best British Curriculum, Best School for Sport, Best Fine Art and Best Principal. The School is also the first outside of the UK to receive the Carnegie Gold Award for Mental Health.
Candidates should have GCSE’s, Secondary School Leavers certificate or equivalent. Relevant coaching qualifications are highly desirable with any previous experience of working with children in sport preferable.The successful candidate will ideally be under spouse’s sponsorship however sponsorship could be arranged if required.
The role requires 40 hours during core School timings to include four extra curriculum sessions per week as mandatory. There will be additional expectations to facilitate weekend tournaments either organising or attending. BSAK sports offering does extend into the weekend irregularly but when needed staff will be called upon to coach during when needed, these dates will be published early in the year to allow adequate time to plan.
