Job Summary:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Purchase Officer to manage procurement activities, vendor relationships, and ensure timely supply of goods and services. The ideal candidate must have strong negotiation skills and practical experience in UAE customs clearance and import/export documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle daily purchasing activities including sourcing, quotations, and order processing.
- Coordinate with suppliers to negotiate prices, terms, and delivery schedules.
- Manage customs clearance procedures in the UAE, including documentation, HS codes, and compliance with trade regulations.
- Liaise with freight forwarders, clearing agents, and government authorities for import/export operations.
- Monitor and track shipments to ensure timely delivery and resolve clearance issues.
- Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, invoices, and customs documentation.
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and UAE laws.
- Work closely with finance and warehouse teams for payment processing and inventory management.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field.
- Experience:
- 3–5 years in procurement or purchasing.
- Hands-on experience in UAE customs clearance, import/export regulations, and logistics coordination.
- Industry Preference: IT, Electronics, or Trading experience is a plus.
Skills Required:
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Strong knowledge of customs documentation, HS codes, and Incoterms.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and procurement tools.
- Good organizational and multitasking abilities.
