Job Purpose
The prodcution manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the company's plastic bags & straps production and operation, ensuring efficient and safe production processes, and optimizing production output. The role involves leading a team of skilled workers, ensuring high performance and compliance with industry regulations and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Management
- Oversee and manage production operations to ensure cost-effective production processes.
- Optimize production output, minimize downtime, and enhance operational efficiency.
- Manage budgets, and expenses to achieve cost savings
- Report production performance, equipment reliability, and inventory.
- Provide guidance, training, and support to operations staff to enhance their skills and capabilities.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure timely utilization of resources, suppliers and vendors.
- Develop a requisition format for row material.
- Process purchase orders.
- Set Production / Operational management cost control parameters
- Present reports regularly.
Safety and Compliance
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and environmental policies.
- Implement and maintain HSE protocols, procedures, and training.
- Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify potential hazards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, or related field.
- Proven experience in Plastic Industry production / operations
- Strong knowledge in production processes, equipment, and technologies.
- Proficiency in operational management, safety compliance, and risk management.
- Excellent leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Manage multiple priorities
Working Conditions
- This is a full-time position.
- Occasional travel to sites and operational facilities may be required.
- Work hours may vary and could include evenings, weekends, and on-call availability.
