Job Description
The Infrastructure Project Manager is responsible for overseeing and executing infrastructure projects, ensuring timely delivery, adherence to budget, and client satisfaction. This role involves project planning, risk management, and directing project teams. The ideal candidate will also possess a background in design management to effectively coordinate and manage design processes within infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management:
- Manage and execute infrastructure projects from initiation to completion.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets, and monitor project progress.
- Client Relations:
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing concerns and ensuring client satisfaction.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships to support repeat business and drive revenue growth.
- Communicate project updates, milestones, and changes to clients in a timely manner.
- Risk Management:
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation plans to address them.
- Monitor and manage project risks and uncertainties to ensure project stability and success.
- Implement strategies to minimize exposure to claims and legal issues.
- Team Leadership:
- Supervise and direct project teams, providing guidance and mentorship to team members.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive project execution.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance team environment.
- Design Management:
- Oversee and coordinate design management processes within infrastructure projects.
- Ensure design deliverables meet project requirements, standards, and client expectations.
- Manage design changes, approvals, and quality assurance in collaboration with design teams.
- Operational Excellence:
- Develop and implement project management best practices and standard operating procedures.
- Monitor project performance using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Conduct regular project reviews and post-project evaluations to identify areas for improvement.
Qualifications
- Experience:
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in infrastructure project management.
- Proven track record of managing medium to large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Experience in design management within infrastructure projects is highly desirable.
- Skills and Competencies:
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of construction contracts, risk management, and claims avoidance.
- Personal Attributes:
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
