Position Overview
The Regional Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying, developing, and executing growth strategies across the assigned region for the company’s Ductile Iron Pipes & Fittings portfolio. Based in Dubai, this role plays a critical part in expanding market share, driving revenue, and positioning the company as a leader in the water infrastructure and utilities sectors. The ideal candidate will have a strong commercial mindset, technical know-how, and a well-established network across the region.

Regions Covered: GCC, MENA, and Select International Markets
Main Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and develop new business opportunities in municipal, infrastructure, industrial, and utility sectors.
- Build a strong pipeline of projects and tenders within target countries.
- Monitor regional market trends and assess market potential in various territories.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with government entities, EPC contractors, engineering consultants, and key clients.
- Act as the main point of contact for strategic accounts to ensure satisfaction and long-term partnerships.
- Engage with public authorities and procurement bodies to position the company in upcoming projects.
- Develop and implement country-specific sales plans to meet revenue and market share targets.
- Manage full sales cycle from lead generation to deal closure.
- Lead tendering processes, including bid strategy, pricing, and proposal coordination.
- Work cross-functionally with technical, commercial, and logistics teams to ensure effective delivery of proposals and project execution.
- Coordinate with internal departments to ensure accurate and timely quotations and order fulfillment.
- Support contract negotiation and implementation in alignment with company policies.
- Monitor competitor activity and pricing strategies across the region.
- Recommend pricing and positioning adjustments to maintain competitiveness.
- Provide regular feedback on client requirements, market gaps, and product performance.
- Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and regional exhibitions.
- Promote brand visibility and credibility across target markets.
- Support marketing teams in local campaigns, technical seminars, and awareness programs.
- Prepare periodic business development reports and updates for senior management.
- Provide strategic insights based on market intelligence, tender trends, and customer feedback.
- Contribute to the formulation of long-term business plans for regional expansion.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Mechanical or Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- MBA or Master’s degree in Business, Marketing, or Strategy is a strong advantage.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in business development or technical sales within the Ductile Iron Pipes, Valves and Fittings.
- Proven experience managing regional markets in the GCC and MENA.
- Strong understanding of pipe systems and their applications in infrastructure and utilities.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to travel frequently across the region as required.
- Fluency in English is mandatory; Arabic is a plus.
- Commercially driven with a strategic mindset and execution capabilities.
- Technically knowledgeable and capable of engaging with engineers and consultants.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and result-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Prior experience with public tendering, government authorities, and infrastructure projects is mandatory.
