Job Title: Road Painter
Department: Infrastructure / Civil Maintenance

Reports to: Site Supervisor / Project Manager
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Road Painter to join our team. The Road Painter will be responsible for applying markings on roads, highways, parking lots, and other surfaces to ensure traffic safety and compliance with road design plans. This role involves operating specialized equipment, understanding road safety regulations, and working in outdoor environments under various weather conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare surfaces and ensure proper cleaning before painting.
- Apply road markings using paint machines, thermoplastic equipment, or hand tools.
- Interpret road layout designs and follow specifications for line placement and color.
- Maintain and operate striping machines, spray guns, and other painting equipment.
- Apply symbols, arrows, pedestrian crossings, stop bars, and other traffic markings.
- Mix and match paint to ensure correct color and consistency.
- Follow safety procedures to protect self and public during painting activities.
- Conduct routine maintenance of tools and equipment.
- Ensure timely completion of work and report any issues to the supervisor.
- Remove old markings using heat or mechanical methods when required.
- Work in accordance with local traffic laws and safety standards.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a road or pavement painter preferred.
- Familiarity with road safety standards and traffic regulations.
- Ability to read blueprints, drawings, or work orders.
- Physically fit and able to work in outdoor conditions for extended periods.
- Attention to detail and precision in line marking.
- Ability to work night shifts, weekends, or extended hours when needed.
